My name is Christy Layne and I have been teaching at Ninety-Six Primary for 39 years!! I have taught K-5,k-4, Special Education and first grade. I am currently teaching K-4 for the 2022-2023 school year. I have been blessed to teach in this district and the school staff is like my second family!!!
I graduated from Greenwood High School in 1978! Yes! I’m old. I graduated from Erskine College with a degree in Elementary, Early and Special Education. I received a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from The University of South Carolina.
I am married to Denny Layne and I have two children. My children are married and my daughter and her husband have 2 precious little boys.. My son married in May of 2021. He and his wife have a Boykin Spaniel named Rio who is also like a grandchild.
I love to work with children, read, work in my yard and go to Edisto Beach!!!!!
