I am honored to be the School Resource Officer assigned to the Primary School and I am enjoying getting to know your students and staff and working with them to make safety a priority in our district.

 

I am a Class One Law Enforcement Officer, employed by the Ninety Six Police Department as a School Resource Officer (SRO), assigned to the Ninety Six Primary School. I have been a certified law enforcement officer since September 2002, graduating from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia, SC. I  ​was previously employed with McCormick County Sheriff's Dept. for thirteen (13) years, as an Investigator, where I was assigned as agency liaison to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).  I am a graduate of numerous specialized and/or advanced investigation training classes and seminars sponsored by, among others: The U.S. Dept. of Justice (USDOJ), The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and The South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (SCCJA).  I hold many certifications, including, but not limited to the following:

certification by TASER International as an Advanced TASER X26 Operator; certification by ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training– Texas State University @ San Paulo) as an ALERRT Active Shooter Response Team member. I am a certified CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter) Instructor and ALICE (Alert,Lockdown,Inform,Counter, Evacuate) Instructor.
 
I live in Greenwood with my husband and youngest daughter.  We are the proud parents of six adult children, one grandchild and many granddogs and grandcats!
